Ya could have been much worse. My brother in law makes a habit of deer hunting with vehicles. The Jeep I have now was his, it has a dent in side where a deer hit him. Keeps the family in meat though.

Glad that the son was OK and not injured. Also good deal on the deer. I have heard stories where there was bone fragments in all the meet, akin to trying to eat fish.
